Travel options are available for any budget, with our economical Red Service seats. Travelling in Red Service on The Ghan and Indian Pacific our Red Service Day/Nighter seats are two-abreast comfortable chairs that can swivel to face each other if you'd like to socialise, or recline back at a 45 degree angle so you can have a snooze. Travel pillows and blankets are available for purchase and shared shower and toilet facilities are available onboard with soap and towels provided.
Travelling in Red Service you have access to our Red Service, Matilda Cafe. This is a great place to enjoy a drink while chatting with friends new or old. You can purchase affordable tasty light meals, snacks and drinks from the fully licensed Cafe.
Travelling on The Overland Red Premium and Red Service seats are available. With ample leg room, generous luggage allowances and the Cafe 828, travel in comfortable between Melbourne and Adelaide.
Great Southern Rail's, Rail Explorer Pass, is a great affordable option if you want to see all of Australia with the flexibility to hop on and hop off as you choose. Select a two or three month unlimited pass and travel on The Ghan, the Indian Pacific and The Overland to explore Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Alice Springs, the Outback and Darwin all on the one pass!
